개요
1955년 미국에서 개발하여 베트남전에서 맹활약한 기종으로 우리나라는 1967년에 미국 원조로 6대를 도입하였다가 이후 방위성금으로 122대를 구입하여 병력 및 화물 수송으로 운용하였고, 70여 대가 남았으나 노후화에 따라 2020년까지 전원 퇴역하였다.
